Solitary Silent Retreat
At this time of the year, nature harmoniously adapts to cold, frost and shorter days in slowing down its activity.
Like the rhythm of nature, this retreat offers a precious and rare time to slow down, to retire from the activity of a busy life. This is an opportunity to enter silence and solitude, in a peaceful and secluded environment.
For a week or two, retreatants are offered a space to engage in an extended period of individual meditation. A lecture(dharma talk) per week, interviews and guidance from experienced teacher will also be offered. For those who like to practise yoga, there will be one yoga lesson per week offered.
Every participant will be given a single room in order to preserve the quietness that supports solitude and seclusion.
Silence naturally creates conditions to deepen calm, and to explore the nature of life through direct experience. Calming the mind, allowing for kindness, compassion and wisdom to arise.
During this time, the house will be in silence. And all participants will be asked to commit to this silence including during the working periods.
To maintain the spirit of silence, you are asked to refrain from using telephone, electronic devices.
For your individual yoga practise there is a separate room available.
10:00 group meditation (1h)
16:00 group meditation (1h)
The times between can be used for individual meditation in your room or in the meditation hall, for walking meditations, walks in nature, contemplation.
The times for the interviews and for the karma yoga (working periods) will be announced onsite.
