The 200 hour yoga teacher training in Europe is a 4 week course recognized by Yoga Alliance and has RYS certification with E-RYP faculty.

The be better Yoga specialized 200 hour Teacher Certificate course is a Yoga Alliance certified 200 hour Level I certification program carefully designed after years of experience & practice for all level yoga aspiring students who want to deepen their practice as well as for those students who wish to become teachers themselves and impart yoga education to the world.

This course is an excellent opportunity to learn more fundamentals and traditional yoga. Our 200 hour yoga teacher training courses (bookings open already also for 200 hour Yoga course 2017) offers a in-depth study of all kinds of techniques like asana (posture), pranayama (breathing practices), meditation, yoga philosophy, yoga anatomy, sequencing and adjustments, developing a meditation practice for yourself and others as well as expand your knowledge of becoming a perfect yoga teacher in near future.

Our 200 hour Yoga certification schedule is strictly based on yogic principles, a training starts with a morning practice at early sunrise. It is the best time of the day to experience the power of asana, pranayama and sadhna / meditation. There is a short break for breakfast and a healthy food is served for you to get well nourished for rest of the day. The schedule follows with a lecture and some yoga practice. Lunch is served during the mid day time with yogic foods. There is a meditation / chanting class in the afternoon. A dinner and thereof rest and relax for the next morning.

Although, we abide by traditional style of teaching yoga, we still have incorporated Sivananda, Pattabi jois and BKS Iyengar style into our teachings. We are highly influenced by BKS Iyenger, so props are included into our asana practices to ensure correct alignment and posture. Except for asana perfection using the props, our accent is on focus of mind and regulation of breath. Every asana is utilized as tools so as to guide you gain your usual meditative state. It will help focus your mind in more evocative ways which can deepen your practices. If your goal is to be a yoga instructor, you’ll become very sure with sequencing, guiding principles of breath movement and focusing and complete knowledge of eight limb of yoga as offered by Maharishi Patanjali through our philosophical class and different kinds of meditative session. We consider the practices of Ayurvedic living to be very important and so they must be combined together with yoga to accolade the advantages of yoga. We also have incorporated lots of teachings on science of Ayuveda.

Our Yoga teacher training course is designed for those people who want to deepen their present yoga practices, aspiring teachers and advanced students of all ages. Besides these, we also have Bhajans and music at time of the Satsang and other inventive self-healing sessions.

  • Yogasana (postures)
  • Basic and advanced Asanas (Hatha Yoga tradition)
  • Basic and advanced Asanas of Patanjali and Ashtanga Yoga
  • Human anatomy: skeletal, muscles, respiratory, digestive, nervous and hormone system
  • Anatomy and physiology in relation to yoga: Prevention of illness etc.
  • Psychology: Stress management introduction and introduction BUSINESS YOGA (of Kerstin Linnartz)
  • Hands on Yoga: concrete and individual alignments for teaching, Sequencing, adjustment and alignment teaching skill.
  • The different layers of the human body (Koshas)
  • Pranayama – different breathing techniques (e.g. Kumbhaka & Kapalabhati)
  • Meditation (Chakra Meditation, Kundalini Meditation, lead Meditation from the Veden and other dynamic Meditationen)
  • Raja Yoga (mental training for full use of the human psyche)
  • Yoga Nidra (progressive relaxation)
  • Chakra Systems (energy centers)
  • Nutrition: Yoga food principles (3 Gunas for example)
  • Ayurveda: specific food, the different dohas etc.
  • Bandhas (energy locks)
  • Mudras (yogic gestures of the hatha yoga pradipika)
  • Trataka (focussed view)
  • Bhakti Yoga: Bhajans, Satsang, Kirtan
  • 8 limbs of Yoga from Patanjali { 10 sutra of 1st chapter of Patanjali yoga sutra will be discussed elaborately }

  • Yoga philosophy: four path of Yoga -HATHA, RAJ, Gyan, Bhakti Yoga.
  • Practical way of teaching: definite and individual tips for teaching, planning of classes and workshops

You – as a yoga teacher
As the name suggests “Yoga teacher training”, the initial goal of this course in to develop “you” as a perfect & learned yoga teacher who can then develop and spread yoga to the world. The personal work of yoga practice is the best way to prepare to teach yoga classes, but we will also look more deeply into methods of teaching. During the course we will practice aspects of yoga teaching on each other, which will include planning and teaching classes and sequences, using props and aids and helping students to modify poses so that they can get the most out of the practices. Upon completion of the course you will be awarded the Yoga Alliance certification.

Basic knowledge of yoga asanas and an average good fitness and health level are expected from participants.

Mountain Retreat Center in Germany, Chiemgau

The Mountain Retreat Center offers 19 bedrooms.
The rooms are simple and cosy, some bedrooms have their own bathrooms, some have a sink within the room and bathroom and toilets are shared on the floor.
All rooms have a view on the beautiful landscape.
On the ground floor there is the heart of the center - the meditation hall. Japanese Zendo style with a lot of windows facing the breathtaking mountains, and an access to a sun terrace.
A second smaller seminar room is also available on the basement floor for the practice of yoga.

In the garden around the center there are some spots for relaxing. The area is very popular for hiking, winter sports, recreation and fresh air.

At the Mountain Retreat Center, the aim is to create a place, where you can retire and recharge. A place for meeting like-minded people.

The Mountain Retreat Center in the small village Sachrang, right at the border to Tyrol/Austria, is only a 15 minutes drive away from the highway A8 connecting Munich to Salzburg. Tranquil and modest it is situated hillside, overlooking the little village with only a few restaurants, one shop, church and some housing. The view to the surrounding mountains is breathtaking. Silence.

If you want to exercise in fresh air you can hike right from the house. Winter and summer. The most popular peaks nearby are Spitzstein, Geigerstein, Kampenwand. The next little towns are Aschau im Chiemgau (13km) or Kufstein in Tyrol (15km) away. The famous lake Chiemsee is about 23 kilometers from Sachrang. Visits to Salzburg or Tyrol are also worthwhile.


The Mountain Retreat Center serves only vegetarian, mainly organic food. We can cater for vegan, lactose or gluten-free in a limited way and only with prior notice. We then offer a selection of steamed vegetables, pulses and carbohydrates.


Linnartz Kerstin teacher training

Kerstin Linnartz is from Germany, Berlin. She has been practicing Yoga for the past 19 years. She spent many years in India deepening her own practice and teaching students from all over the world. She is certified as “Advanced Yoga Teacher” by the Worldwide Yoga Alliance for the 500 hours standart for Registered Yoga Schools and is initiated by Swami Kailasananda (Yoga Acharya of Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashrams in Europe). She holds diploma from the “Yoga Vedanta Academy” of Rishikesh as well as the title “Yoga Acharya” (meaning “master of Yoga”- whereby Kerstin insists that in her eyes this is just a title for someone who persistantly follows her own practice humbly sharing it with others).

Besides that she trained in classical Hatha Yoga Anatomy with Yoga Acharya Swami Sivadasananda, in Ashtanga Yoga with Dr. Ron Steiner, did advanced teachers trainings regarding Breathing and Bandhas (energy locks) and studied the human Chakra System (energy centres) as well as Vedanta Philosophy, Ayurveda and several Meditation Techniques. She studied Kriya Yoga during a one year lecture after the original scriptures of Paramahansa Yogananda. In the many years of her own practice she collected lots of inspiration from numerous teachers at Yoga ashrams and centres in the USA, Europe and, of course, India. Thus her teaching combines different elements from the “system” Yoga- from classical Hatha to more dynamic Ashtanga- and she emphasizes on not only focusing on the body and to not narrow down the teaching to the mere “form”.

Her passion and the joy from Yoga touch the students in her classes and therefor Kerstin is teaching the “complete package of Yoga, which cannot only de-stress and relax your life but very much enrich it with more health, tranquility and real joy shining from inside out.” Having 15 years of experience on stages and in studios as a TV-presenter Kerstin knows how to use body and voice to really reach the receiver. She uses this talent to help her students into a deep experience during their own practice and shows them how to take “Yoga from the mat into everyday life”.

Shri Akhilesh Bodhi, professional Yoga instructor, Reiki master and spiritual mentor is founder of the Neo Yoga Center. Akhilesh has deep understanding and extensive knowledge of Yoga practice which spans decades and developed his own inclusive method of Yoga. He carries a bequest of teaching traditional yoga and mixes it with modern ways of BKS Iyengar and K.Pattabhi Jois styles for the international yoga seekers. Fusion of Ashtanga Vinyas, Hatha yoga and Raj yoga presents a holistic technique suited to the people across the world.

The distances are:

  • one hour from Munich
  • 50 minutes from Salzburg
  • 15 minutes from Kufstein
  • 12 minutes from Aschau
  • 1 minute from Sachrang

Arriving by public transport:

You can take the bus or train to Aschau. From there you can take a taxi or go by bus to Sachrang.

Arriving by plane:

The airports Munich (1,5 hrs) and Salzburg (1 hr) are the closest. We can arrange a shuttle service for a fee from/to the airport.
